Young Adult Therapy

  • Young adults are defined as adults between the ages of 19-40 years old. Alex sees a wide array of young adults, including young professionals, adults beginning their families, and more.

However, Alex has the most experience working with young adults who recently graduated from high school and are starting college. This time in life is often a continuation of “Who am I?” (identity) but has another component involving intimacy versus isolation. As young adults are in the process of determining their new “adult roles,” they are looking to find their own families and break free from their family of origin. Alex enjoys working with this age group because young adults are determining how they want to live versus how they have always lived within their family unit. Similar to working with teens, Alex helps with identity confusion by using personality tests to help young adults determine their inherent strengths, values, and beliefs while also helping clients determine what they want their peer group or future families to look like.

Alex would love to partner with you today to help you find clarity and peace moving forward in life!
